Internet in Primary Healthcare in Developing Countries
Call for Papers/Reports

Internet and Internet based applications are changing the very face of Healthcare.Now physicians have access to the latest information on the web.Evidence based guidelines are readily available.Evolving technologies like Telemedicine is changing the modes of Healthcare Delivery in remote villages of India. While internet accessibility is growing at explosive dimensions, most often the lack of infrastructure prevents access to the much needed information,which is otherwise available for free. In spite of these difficulties,the researchers from Developing countries have been keen enough to put their thoughts into using Internet to enhance Healthcare.

The special issue of Internet He@lth intends to discuss the myriad issues surrounding this issue.

Broad areas we hope to cover include:

Use of Health Information on the Internet. 
The role of Internet in promoting equal access to Information.
Role of Internet in Primary Healthcare delivery in Developing countries. 
Role of Internet in Information delivery in Developing countries 
Innovations in utilisation of Internet in enhancing Healthcare in Developing Countries. 
Ethical and Social issues surrounding Internet in Healthcare. 
Initiatives working to empower physicians from Developing countries.

 

We invite Original Research, Case Reports, Descriptive Essays, Opinion and Reviews on the theme.
